Taking a step back encourages expansion...

It's a normal experience to feel worn down physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We go through things that leave us feeling confused quite often, and it requires us to determine next steps. An emotional battle has been fought, but it affects so much more that needs our attention.

When we feel restricted, it's indicative of a lesson to be learned. You're likely in the thick of it and considering your options which seem few and far between. In the midst of it all, the answer likely is the hard choice that we don't want anything to do with. Following this difficult path, we need to rest our being in every capacity. Our mind needs a break to recover from the mental hoops that were required of us, but we rarely listen to the calling. The headaches, frustration, burnout , and lack of clarity in other areas all point to the same direction. It's time for a break.

This could mean taking a nap, meditating, or resting between rooms in the house on a Sunday clean up. It's a temporary position of pause to reflect, heal, and prepare for the next battle. Doing this will allow the mind to feel at ease again, motivated, and encouraged to focus forward successfully. If you're in the middle of a disagreement of some sort, this is also the way to go. Take a step back, think about what you can learn in this moment and what learned lessons you can apply effectively. How is your ego involved? What pain are you holding onto that could potentially hold you back? Is there a sense of embarrassment or regret? What could you have done differently? Each of these questions deserve answers, and they cannot be clarified without the time and space to do so.

Take a break.
